Who's Fundraiser is it?
Note: FUNDRAISER is one word.

So there is going to be a fundraiser for Steve Beshear at my
house this week. You can only come in if you send a
MINIMUM of $500... BUT, you can send less if you want to,
with NO form of who it's from. I will only except cash and
Personal CHecks made out to ME.. Then and only then, will I
pass it on to Mr. Beshear's Campaign.. Oh, by the way, the
Harness Association will NOT be putting their name on
anything here, only the Thorougbred Association....SO how
does this sound to you, HORSEMEN??

This past week during discussion with Trainer/Driver and
Huge supporter of Beshear, Aaron Young, and Secretary Bill
Napier. Aaron asked Bill some questions about the
fundraiser. Bill stated, "It is going be at the Thoroughbred
Club." Do you mean to tell me it is not a KHHA fundraiser?
Are we sharing the stage here? Standardbred with
Thoroughbred? WHY BILL? This makes no sense. Who do
you think will be recognized at this fundraiser Thoroughbred
    or Standardbred? Easy answer, Thoroughbred.

Napier did not tell Aaron he should attend (but Aaron told
him he wanted to attend), and said for Aaron to call back
and he would give him more details Monday. (He MAY need
time to get his details straight). Is Bill scared to have a
    KHHA Fundraiser for BESHEAR.

ARE WE THAT WEAK!!!  We (The Kentucky harness horse
industry) can't raise enough money ourselves? Or could be
something else? Well.... Maybe it's the fact that the KHHA is
asking for ONLY $250 and not any more. I can think of
many, MANY horsemen and people involved with harness
racing, with more money to give, that can't wait to help the
Harness Industry in anyway. Or what about the guy that
may have only $50 to give....DOESN'T HIS VOTE COUNT
TOO....IS HIS MONEY NOT WORTH ANYTHING?

The KHHA also states that If you would like to attend, the
suggested contribution is $250 and you may contact
KHHA for further details. (for futher details?)  Big question
here.....Why are you keeping this such a secret? Should
you like to make a contribution without attending you can
make any contribution you wish by making a check payable
to Steve Beshear for Governor and sending that check to
KHHA at 1700 Alexandria Dr. Suite #4 Lexington, Ky. 40504.
    I DON'T THINK SO BILL. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I JUST READ
THAT....AND THE EXTRA SLAP IS NO TIME AND LOCATION
    SET....

WHY.....why would you not attend and then send a check
via W. Napier so that HE WILL TAKE ALL OF THE CREDIT
to make HIMSELF SHINE? ----- just send the check to
........???? Does he think Kentucky horsemen are that
stupid?  DOES THE BOARD GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO
    OVERLOOK US THAT OFTEN?

IF YOU ARE GOING TO SUPPORT BESHEAR, YOU MAY NOT
WANT TO SEND IT TO NAPIER DIRECTLY.....WE  HAVE OTHER
AVENUES TO SHOW STANDARDBRED SUPPORT.. This is
the same guy from the same organization that sat down in
Lexington with a sum $200,000  on the table, (what come
from the $3 million of the Breeders development fund) for
the Wildcat Series. So, Bill, why did we settle for $80,000...
Where did that figure come from. Why didn't we get more?

REMEMBER HERE.  Beshear is the only candidate who
supports expanded gaming in Kentucky, so you have ASK
yourself this question.....DO YOU WANT NAPIER
CARRYING THE FLAG FOR US ON EXPANDED GAMING?

Now before we give the racing news action we must tell you that
Ronnie Guhy is the Mark Martin of Kentucky Fair racing. He
races you clean, doesn't cause any trouble or wrecks, and a fierce
competitor. But make no mistake, just like Mark Martin, if you think
you're going to shove Ronnie Guhy around on the track, you may
be surprise while you're wiping dirt off your colours from the track
after picking yourself up out of the ditch. Or in nascar it would be,
"climbing out or the car after crashing into the wall". You get my
drift here.....SHEEHAN. Also, in the next few weeks, if you may ever
wonder how you got in a bad position while racing...If, I mean if
you ask yourself that....just look around for those
RED WHITE &
BLUE colours
...yes Tyler....Before the end of summer, it will be
MR. GUHY for you. In fact, I suggest you start it right away.

The racing at the Lebanon Fair saw Ronnie Guhy have 2 winners
with his own Chevie Classic Rod and a catch drive with winner
Fantastic Fran, a race that saw Tyler Shehan and April Thirty try to
come up the rail
(WITH NO ROOM TO GET THROUGH) on Guhy
at the finish.... "I had room and you cut me off" was the response
from young Shehan. Ronnie was on the front....there is an invisible
sign when trying to squeeze through tight spots at the finish,
Tyler.....it reads
"ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK".....Keyword
OWN
.  So after lashings from first Chris Loney,(the Ridge) then
Gary Neafus( The Downs) and now Guhy (the Lebanon Fair)  I
would say new Judge Mike Davis has a tough assignment ahead of
him with Young Shehan licensed...UGH!

Also we saw Bobby Brower take wins with Lasting Beauty and Like
a Dream. Brower trained and reigned both trotters.. !

One other thing that happened at the fair. An Overstreet
employee, "Kenny", went out to warm up after the 5th race. There
was a break after this race. He got one lap in and was told to exit
the track for the reason he didn't have any colours on. Now he did
have a helmet on. He did however get someone else to warm up
the horse. But, we could not help to notice that during this
sametime, "The Fence Master", Scottie Harris went onto the track
with BLUEJEANS on. Now my concern is this;
Was the PRESIDING
JUDGE KEVIN MACK
able to view the races on the remainder of
the card....Or, was it only
TEMPORARY BLINDNESS. Or, was is
just plain and simple taking care of a member of the "CORNBREAD
MAFIA". Which is it Kevin? Let me know.......
Doc would like to
know too.

Did anyone catch the HUGE payout on Gary Neafus' Fuzzy Finance
at Indy Downs? I didn't bet of course, but the filly capped off a
$3000 superfecta in a 1:57 win. Nice to see the KY invaders
doing very well outside of Kentucky.

I will be going out on a limb here.
