A New Year - A New Beginning

Hello and Happy New Year Horsemen. And what a year it
has been. I was so glad to be part of the 2007 racing
season and so very proud to be a part of this Website that
Terry Cullipher has brought to us.

On my winter break, besides building my house in Paducah,
I have been following and talking to Governor Elect Beshear
at several showings here in Western KY. He is passionate
about Slots and truly believes they are coming...

I would however, want to talk a bit about the recent
letter by the KHHA, and their decision on Not
accepting Mr. Cullipher nor Mr. Goble's nomination for
the KHHA board. I do question the KHHA's stand on
    this.

Is it the fact that Terry Cullipher has been the most
outspoken on CHANGE in KY racing?

Is it the fact that HE calls "you members of the KHHA"
on the wrong doings that have been evaded in the
    past?

Surely, it can not be due to an Email application? I do
recall Sean Gannon sent his in by Email.

Bill Napier's response to that was "there was not
going to be an election that year", so he was
    unopposed.

    WHAT?

So, I guess you should have said Hey Guys, put in for
the KHHA seat anyway you want, unless there are a
couple of you horsemen that don't agree with our
stand, THEN you must send it in via Mail.

    What's the deal Bill?

Is it the fact that Bobby Himself is up for
election, and you are in fact afraid losing your
job if he loses his seat? Now I am told that there
    are lawyers involved?

    Another question would be;

WHY would the KHHA letter come less than 2 weeks
    to some members homes?

My personal KHHA letter came Dec 29th 2007.
    Which gives the question.

Who sends a letter out that late in the year, and
    that close to the deadline?
SCARED PEOPLE AFRAID TO LOSE THEIR
    SEATS!!!! Thats who.

I sure hate to sound like I am against the KHHA with
most of my Trackside's. Truth is, I am not against the
KHHA, as I have been a member for the last 4 years.
What I do not like is bad leadership.

We are not in Turkey, and our leaders don't have the
right to put the laws of the KHHA aside and do what
they please. THAT is Communism, Not democracy....

My good luck to all the members on the election, and
my utmost backing to Terry Cullipher,
Ken Terpenning, Jim Goble, Aaron Young and
    Joe Jayne.
