FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME
"Please....for the love of the game....stop insulting us." - The Betting Public

What ever happened to harness racing? Maybe it's that there's just not enough love for the game, and
the lack of ability to possess it couldn't be more transparent.

Do you realize how many decisions are made in this business, not for the love of the game, but for
more selfish reasons? Whether its management or regulators, reasons for many decisions can stem
from anything like saving the paycheck to covering your ass to who knows who.

Let’s start with management. Are they really doing their part? Take Yonkers Raceway along with The
Meadowlands. They start a new gimmick to help attract bettors; “The Metro Six”-- a pick six from both
tracks that starts with a 30,000 pool for bettors with what they call “a Carryover.”

Well after five weeks, along with it being hit every week, guess what? They take it away. Yes they failed...
but they did try. And that’s more than what I can say about other racetracks.

There are racetracks (Fairmount Park & The Red Mile) that don’t have a pick four --
IN 2010!!!!!!!

Then there are racetracks that don’t send out there signal to all racetracks to facilitate there handle.

Then you have racetracks (Balmoral, Meadows, Pocono) going heads up all the time with a track like the
Meadowlands. Why not race when they are dark? Moreover, pick up some of there clients to bet on your
product as an alternative to going heads up. So is management doing there part?
NOT HARDLY.

Let’s move on to the judges
(the referees, or like we like to call them the THREE BLIND MICE). Are they doing
there part to help Harness Racing?
Like Curly Q Link would say, "You are an Idiotic Imbecile if
you think they are doing their part."

Here’s a good example; One week they take a man down for going inside a pylon. Then the next week a
horse goes inside three pylons, and nothing is said. Now if I can see this on the monitor, why can't one
of the Three Blind Mice see it. They turn their cheeks -- OH WAIT!! THEY MISSED IT!! THEY DIDN'T SEE
IT!!

Now that’s what is wrong with Harness racing -- the judges (referees) make, change, stretch the rules
as they wish for whoever they wish, whenever they wish. Here's what I'm saying.....if you miss it on
Thursday, then miss it on Saturday too. Just be consistent. And the Betting Public DOES NOT buy that
BS that all three guys miss it today and see it tomorrow.

What the fans are tired of are things like "SEXY REXY" Watson getting the 3rd degree while free passes
are being issued. Sexy Rexy wants to know why he didn't get a free pass -- since everyone else got
one. Or is it that Sexy Rexy just isn't sexy enough. Coo-Coo, would you like to elaborate?

The only love loss here is the love of the game. Yes, management and regulators may love their
favorites, hate the writer, and make their decisions accordingly, but as for the love of the game.....they
have none. That's the one thing they have made clear -- crystal clear.
A Swaymi Tip: Never take advice from a clown. He'll make a fool out of you everytime.
