"IIIIIII'M

The Homer Report

Introducing:
PROFESSOR PERKINS
Professor Perkins needs no introduction, since most know who he is. But for those who may
not, he is -- let me repeat myself --
HE IS ..... "The Professor".

RESPECTED by all -- HATED by two -- ADMIRED by Brian Loney.

This is a SPECIAL REPORT brought to you from inside The Homer Report. It's kind of a Q & A
segment pertaining to the Kentucky harness world. Professor Perkins has agreed to dedicate
his time, resources and knowledge to answer questions ever so often, from everyone.

Keep in mind that Professor Perkins is a very intelligent and respected individual. He can
answer in
"2 seconds flat" that if you had $200,000 in a purse account and 10 days of racing
that you'd have $20,000 a day to distribute. He wouldn't have to refer to a 25 man board for
the answer. That's The Professor - no B.S. - just cut straight to the chase....and he's not even
an
ex-cop.
.

Now that we've introduced PROFESSOR PERKINS, we'll go straight to the Q & A.

Question:
"Professor, why is it that some people in power positions seem to be really bothered
and angry when someone asks them a question? Even the simplest of questions."

Professor Perkins' Answer: (gently stroking his chin)
"Well....now that's a great question. And to answer your  question, I have found this
answer to be true in all walks of life, but especially the harness industry.
Here's your answer: You always know when a person has been put in a position, at a
level above where he or she can function effectively. I sometimes refer to these people
as "Mental Midgets". When approached with a question, they will generally revert to
what they know best----getting upset, mad or angry, even when asked the simplest of
questions.  There is however, one rule of thumb to keep in mind when dealing with a
"Mental Midget". Don't ask them too many questions...these people don’t have the
intelligence or the thinking capability of 2 cockroaches merged together.  And whatever
    you do, always...always
remember -- You CAN'T fix stupid."

"I hope I've been helpful in answering your question and send my regards to Brian."

"PS. One more thing. What's the Weatherman forecasting for Lexington this year?"
