Roadblocks before the election

Roadblocks are usually kept to the roadways. But in
this years KHHA board Election, or better known as
the Selection, the roadblock technique is being use
    to the fullest.

Two years ago, their wasn't a problem when Shawn
Gannon submitted his request by email. Did the
KHHA hire attorneys to look into it then? The answer
is no. Why wasn't attorneys hired then? Napier said
that wasn't an election because there was a seat
open and nobody else was running.

Terry Cullipher and Jim Goble intend on running for
election even though it becomes clearer by the
minute that Napier/Stewart have hired a legal team to
assure they don't get a chance. Is that smart use of
    the association's funds?

We believe that an uncontested election is still an
election, and if its good enough for Shawn Gannon
to email, then it's good enough for Terry Cullipher
    and Jim Goble.

Napier was asked the question; Why did they wait
until two weeks before the deadline to send out
information with running for the board of directors.
Napier's response, "The reason we do that is, so no
    one forgets."

Also, we would like to add, that KyHarnessRacing.com
has emailed - (the only way Napier/Stewart have
publicly said they will accept our questions) -
repeatedly over the last six weeks to obtain a copy of
the by-laws. As paying members we deserve some
kind of reply. We must add that we have not received
    a response from Napier/Stewart.

Terry Cullipher and Jim Goble along with the rest of
new candidates are just asking for a fair shake in the
upcoming election.  It's OK if the horsemen do not
vote a candidate in. But to let Napier/Stewart apply
their personal agenda, to oust people in an election,
is a far cry to what Norm Smith had in mind 30 years
    ago!
